In the Settings, you can configure your data retention policies, which control how long data are stored in the GBG GO platform. After a specified retention period, information is permanently deleted from the system. The maximum retention period is 10 years.

Set data retention period

This setting applies to all stored data unless you override it with a specific data retention policy. To set the global data retention period:
  1. In GBG GO, click Settings. The Settings pane is displayed with the Data Retention tab in front.
  2. In Retention period, enter the number of years, months, and days to retain personal data. A year equals 360 days. A month equals 30 days.

Set specific data retention periods

These settings allow you to change the amount of time specific types of data are retained. Specific retention policies cannot exceed the global retention period configured above. To set specific data retention periods:
  1. In GBG GO, click Settings. The Settings pane is displayed with the Data Retention tab in front.
  2. Under Configure retention period for, enter the number of years, months, and days to retain the following types of data:
    • Name, DOB, SSN - Names, dates of birth, and social security numbers
    • Selfie & user images - Face images uploaded to prove the person is alive
    • Documents - Any documents such as driver’s licences or passports
    A year equals 360 days. A month equals 30 days.
