# Allow partner assistance

> Allow or restrict your partner organisation's access to your account for setup, configuration, and troubleshooting assistance.

If your organisation belongs to a partner organisation, then you can choose whether that partner can access your account to help you. You might allow this so that your partner can assist you with setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.

You control this yourself, and you can also choose which parts of the platform your partner can reach. You can withdraw permission at any time, but it limits how much your partner can help with issues that arise.

<Note>Partner assistance is separate from [GBG assistance](/docs/go-v1/platform/settings/set-gbg-assistance-period). Allowing one doesn't allow the other.</Note>

## Allow your partner to access your account

To configure partner assistance settings:

1. In **GBG Go**, click **Settings**.
2. Click the **Partner Assistance** tab.
3. Select the **Allow Partner assistance** checkbox.
4. Under **Access to**, select the areas your partner can access:
   * **Journey builder**
   * **Investigation portal**
5. Save your changes.

Your partner can now access your account from their own account. For the steps they follow, see [Access sub-organisation accounts](/docs/go-v1/platform/partner-login/access-sub-organisation-accounts).

## What your partner can access

The **Access to** checkboxes control where your partner can go once they're in your account:

| Area | What your partner can do |
| ------------------------ | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| **Journey builder** | View and work with the journeys in your account, to help you with setup and configuration. |
| **Investigation portal** | View journey sessions in your account, to help you troubleshoot a specific case. |

Clear a checkbox to keep your partner out of that area. Clear the **Allow Partner assistance** checkbox to stop partner access altogether.

<Tip>Navigate to the **Audit log** section on your left sidebar to see when your partner accesses your account, as well as all records of their activities.</Tip>
